Three Sigils prequels are in the works! They are all short, standalone novelettes and a novella, where the reader does not have to read the larger novels, Sigils of Malice and Sigils of Blight.

Twisted Ivory is the origin story for Biscuit, the World’s Smallest Unicorn, as he and a young elementalist meet in the Clayton Enchanted Extravaganza. It is a traveling show of exploitation and depravity.

While Biscuit wants nothing more than to escape, he feels the need to protect and convince the young boy to flee with him. Unfortunately, the boy’s father is the ringmaster.

Island in the Ink follows humans braving their way into unknown waters inhabited by enormous beasts with great power. When their ship sinks, the survivors wash up on an island on the back of a gargantuan turtle full of mysteries.

Navigator Tarru Nerii needs to guide the turtle back to their homeland, but prejudice and conflicting ideas create rifts among the crew.

Finally, I’m breaking out of my comfort zone with Flowers and Entomology. It’s no secret that Professor Whispers, my cactus dryad entomologist, is the fan favored side character in the novels, so I’m giving him his own rom-com!

The professor has been tasked with protecting a breeding pair of highly endangered magical mantises. He has two goals: keep the female from eating the male, and don’t let them destroy the university when they escape! Thankfully, he has the help of his engineering girlfriend and next-door neighbor.
